Follow these tips to improve your success with online personals...

1. It's more effective if you reply to ads placed by women rather than placing your own, and then waiting for responses. You will receive many more responses this way. (unless you're a whiz at writing).

2. It's important that you check out the ads on a daily basis, so you can reply straight away to any new ads. It's typical for attractive women to receive 50-100 responses in a day and you want to get in first, before they become overloaded with replies. You'll find that many women remove their ads after several days due to this reason.

3. Always have a photo of yourself! It's the first thing women look for and they are much less likely to respond to your ad, if they can't see what you look like.

4. Be funny and charming when you write a reply. You need to stand out from the other reponses. For example, you could write: “I was checking out all these ads thinking to myself, look at all these desperate, lonely women..., and then I spotted your ad and thought, hey here's a desperate, lonely woman that's actually cute..., so I thought I'd write to you and see if you're as interesting as you are in this picture.”

5. Don't write your life story when corresponding with a woman online. Keep all your replies short (around 3-4 lines) so that you are answering questions in the first three lines then asking a question(s) in the last.

6. Don't write anything sexual, unless she initiates it first!
